I had a great lunch date with some gal friends today. We ate at the Highland Village, TX McAlister’s Deli and I just love the laid-back vibe and wonderful staff (thank you, Sam!). I will admit, I am ready for a little nap after such a lovely BLT-A and talk, talk, talk! But I will press on!
Today’s post is really about how very much I appreciate my sweet friends, the folks who have opted in to my shop and this little website. I’m in the midst of a transition in my creative pursuits and will post more here as things firm up. It has taken me decades to understand something about the craft industry and myself as both a consumer and a creator. I had an “aha” moment after reading a fellow blogger’s post and am still mulling over the implications for me going forward. All good stuff – but taking some serious mulling over. One hint – I’ve gone through all my email “subscriptions” and dropped just about every company – even those I love and support. I’ve also dropped out of most creative memberships – even those that were free. More about all this later.
In the meantime, I hope that you find time today, this weekend, hopefully every single day, to express your creativity. It could be in a note to a friend, an amazing work of art or craft, a simple sketch of a future project – anything that will let your creativity loose to “get up to something”!
