Who we are
Our website address is: http://merrysherryscreations.com.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
Please do not attempt to upload images to the website. If any are found in your comments, or links to other websites, your comments will not be approved and we may pursue additional action.
Cookies
We try to avoid using any but the most required cookies for an appropriate browsing/shopping experience. Temporary cookies are not maintained and discard when you close your browser. We do not provide a login option for our shopping process. Each time you visit, you will be required to provide your information for billing and shipping. We do not maintain “Remember Me” links and if one is found that we have not yet removed on the site, your login will NOT persist.
Visitors are not allowed to edit or publish articles on this site. Comments that are submitted will be read and approved/rejected. A temporary cookie may be applied when you submit the comment but is not persistent.
Embedded content from other websites
Suggested text: Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Who we share your data with
We don’t share your data and, apart from the needs in our shopping environment, we do not maintain that data within the site. Depending on the payment method you use, those sites may retain data relevant to your payment process. We have no control over that data. If you complete an order and later email to ask that we remove your name and address information from the site, we will do so and will inform you when that is completed. We maintain payment information indefinitely for federal and state tax purposes. That data is not provided to any 3rd party unless there is a subpoena or some other unexpected legal reason that requires we do so. In short – our business model does not include making ANY money off the use of your name, address, etc., and we do not retain it apart from the needs of the shopping environment.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment which is approved and posted, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. If you contact us in regard to this matter and we find that no data persists, you will be notified.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
