Wow, wow, wow – 2017 is rip-roaring along! I have been getting a bit of soap ready, but now it is time to POUR IT ON and get some product ready! I have two shows coming up in April. I love cold process best of all, but I’m going to have to focus on hot process for a bit so that I will have things cured in time for the shows. It will be tight, but I’m excited to see and smell all the incredible goodness of batches curing! I’ll post pictures soon of my latest.
This sounds so silly, but I FINALLY believed in myself enough to buy 35 pound containers of my top oils. Purchasing smaller volumes was killing me in postage. But it was hard to believe I could get to the point of using “that much” oil! LOL! I know, I know! Anyone who has done a lot of soapmaking is just rolling their eyes.
I’m also having to SERIOUSLY clean out my crafts. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to try my hand at different things. And I have a lot of years behind me in which I have stockpiled a “mini-Joann‘s”. But now that I truly know the things I really enjoy doing most, it is time to clean out the experiments. It is really hard as I know that I’m not going to be able to recover what I have spent over the years to accrue all this “stuff”. I hope there are crafters out there just getting started who will see my items on Craig’s List and at my yard sale this summer. If I can’t recoup my costs (impossible!!!), I at least hope I can make another crafter’s stash more glorious!
I’m so happy to report that my husband is finally getting his stamina back. The wounds are largely healed (though scars remain), and he has new dentures that have given him back the beautiful smile he had before he was so badly hurt. God be praised for the many blessings we have received, and those that we know have come our way unrecognized. We are so grateful!
Happy Daylight Savings time! Hope you can catch a nap tomorrow to catch up!!
