Lately when people say they want things to get back to normal, I’m sort of scratching my head to remember what that means. Perhaps that’s a good thing. Maybe we have the opportunity to reinvent “normal” in a better way.
I have friends that are loving working from home. Meetings are shorter because everyone is so “done” with Zoom interaction. But a lot of folks have kids and partners all vying for the same wifi space for THEIR meetings. And online school – oh my goodness my heart goes out to EVERYONE – kids, parents, and teachers!
Maybe, when the doors finally open (and stay open), we will be even more interested in meeting face-to-face.
Perhaps, once the masks can safely be removed, we will treasure one another’s smiles much more than previously.
Maybe living INclusively will be something we do rather than just think or talk about.
Maybe buying local will become a bigger movement and we can not only save some of the local businesses that have been hit so hard, but other people can reach for their personal dreams and build small businesses knowing there is better public support.
I have lots of things on my personal “wish list” for a new normal. How about you?
